Justine & Adam's Private Estate Wedding
Justine and Adam’s farm wedding is one of my favourite weddings to date. It was so unconventional and unique which is why I loved it sooo much. They chose to have their wedding at Adam’s family farm in Southern Ontario under the old maple trees. For their wedding ceremony they only had 5 guests, their parents, and the officiant. It was one the sweetest things I’ve ever witnessed and it is exactly what they wanted. After their intimate ceremony we snuck off to take their bridal photos in the barn, a cornfield, and a forest across the street before their guests arrived. When we came back from taking photos Justine and Adam were greeted by their guests and were able to enjoy the rest of their day stress free because the ceremony was already over. THEY WERE MARRIED! Justine and Adam wanted their wedding day to be relaxed, fun, and more like a big party so they had a make your own Caesar bar (yum), a food truck serving up the most delicious poutine, lot’s of lawn games, and for dinner, delicious BBQ from a restaurant in Paris called Camp 31. Side note; their food is amazing, check it out! Once dinner was done, Justine and Adam had their first dance under twinkle lights and the stars and their guests joined in and the party began! To end the night the wedding guests were handed sparklers and got to enjoy a fireworks show put on by the couple’s family and lots and lots of pizza that replaced your typical late night buffet. I am definitely stealing that idea for when I get married, or it might even be the main meal haha. Thank you Justine and Adam for throwing one of the best parties I’ve ever been to! It was a blast!
Thank you to Alyssa Alkema for asking me to photograph this incredible wedding with her.
Andrea & Josh's Royal Canadian Yacht Club Wedding
Andrea and Josh got married on a beautiful day in July at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club in Toronto. The weather was absolutely perfect for their big day; partly sunny, partly cloudy, with a nice summer breeze coming off of Lake Ontario. They had all of their closest friends and family come by boat to the island to enjoy their intimate wedding ceremony under the willow trees where they recited personal vows. Andrea walked down the aisle to beautiful live music played by a four string quartet. After the ceremony, their guests enjoyed games, personalized cocktails, and delicious hor d'oeuvres with the stunning Toronto skyline serving as a backdrop. Andrea and Josh envisioned their day as an intimate and vintage affair and they achieved it perfectly with antique gold pieces and details, a dessert table with sweets made by their family and friends, and antique cameras, vases, and wooden crates that held homemade jams for their guests to take home to remember their day. The Royal Canadian Yacht Club was the perfect choice for their Toronto wedding as when you step off the boat onto the island it is almost like you have landed in a different era, or that’s how I felt at least! The Club has a certain southern charm to it and a slower pace than the regular Toronto hustle and bustle, which is why I loved it so much (Seriously recommend this place!). The couple chose sweet, white dresses for the bridesmaids and casual, neat, tan suits for the groomsmen. Andrea and Josh were such a great couple to work with. They were so happy to be married and so in love and I believe it shows in their wedding photos.
Thank you so much to my friend Heather of With Love Heather for having me shoot this amazing wedding with her.
