The Very Best of 2018
So by now you’ve probably gathered that I am quite bad at blogging. When it comes to my business it’s pretty much at the bottom of my to-do list and that needs to change! I did say I was going to do a “Best of 2018” post, and I know we’re already five months into this year, but I figured better late than never so here we go!
2018, where do I even start with you?! This past year was such a whirlwind of events including some of the best of my life. I got to marry my best-est friend (who doesn’t have 4 legs) in the South of France, we bought a house together, I saw two of my favourite artists ever (The Foo Fighters and Drake), spent a week under the sun in the Dominican, and got to hang out with sooo many awesome couples on their wedding day! 2018 also included a lot of sweet families that invited me into their lives to capture some beautiful moments.
Every year I compile a list of things I want to do for my business and in my personal life, so I figured it might be fun to add to this post so you can follow along too!
buy a house
travel
have my work featured
book some awesome weddings
go to five concerts, which is my usual each year but didn't happen because of the above items lol
go camping, also didn't happen because of the above things, whomp whomp!
get to know our new city!
shoot a destination wedding
Although I may have missed a few items on my list, I think I had an incredible year and am very lucky to be able to do this job! Thank you again to all of my amazing couples and families from 2018 and soooorry, not sorry for all the photos in this post!
Check out my Best of 2017 post here!

Andrea & Josh's Royal Canadian Yacht Club Wedding
Andrea and Josh got married on a beautiful day in July at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club in Toronto. The weather was absolutely perfect for their big day; partly sunny, partly cloudy, with a nice summer breeze coming off of Lake Ontario. They had all of their closest friends and family come by boat to the island to enjoy their intimate wedding ceremony under the willow trees where they recited personal vows. Andrea walked down the aisle to beautiful live music played by a four string quartet. After the ceremony, their guests enjoyed games, personalized cocktails, and delicious hor d'oeuvres with the stunning Toronto skyline serving as a backdrop. Andrea and Josh envisioned their day as an intimate and vintage affair and they achieved it perfectly with antique gold pieces and details, a dessert table with sweets made by their family and friends, and antique cameras, vases, and wooden crates that held homemade jams for their guests to take home to remember their day. The Royal Canadian Yacht Club was the perfect choice for their Toronto wedding as when you step off the boat onto the island it is almost like you have landed in a different era, or that’s how I felt at least! The Club has a certain southern charm to it and a slower pace than the regular Toronto hustle and bustle, which is why I loved it so much (Seriously recommend this place!). The couple chose sweet, white dresses for the bridesmaids and casual, neat, tan suits for the groomsmen. Andrea and Josh were such a great couple to work with. They were so happy to be married and so in love and I believe it shows in their wedding photos.
Thank you so much to my friend Heather of With Love Heather for having me shoot this amazing wedding with her.
